Designers not only develop refined designs (sketches) from constantly fresh perspectives, but also contemplate the laces' characteristics, strength and uses. They consider most suitable yarn selection, too.
There are two major design processes. One is collection design, in which lace is created corresponding to concepts based on the season's trends. The other is design corresponding to garment planning concepts after consultation with clients about their particular needs.
In both processes, creativity is required to incorporate concepts into specific lace designs and is the key to developing beautiful lace in high quality.
Drafts are made of the completed designs and define all yarns' route.
Based on the design, skilled draftmen bring a design's originality to life in the drafting process, creating beautiful patterns with three-dimensional qualities.
